Here is that picture again! :D This time It is of the Oleander Cuttings I took ( Far Right ) Growing Roots In Water. I Took three cuttings.. one of the white variety, one of light pink and one of hot pink. These cuttings were found on the same path I took when I found the Bougainvillea. The hot pink color of this plant is what captivated me the most and anything that bright and vibrant was a must have for me.

So Here they are now! I have potted two up in soil so far because their roots were getting pretty long in water and I figured it would be a good time to put them in soil. The third one is taking its time... which I think is the light pink one. At the moment it has just one little root poking out.. so hopefully soon it will catch up to the others so that I can put it in soil. I noticed recently that there are white stripes on the oleander leaves... Unfortunately this is Hard water minerals left on the leaves from me misting them with tap water. I didn't realize how hard our water was until it started to show on my plants :( The only way to get around this problem is to stop misting them ... which should be fine now that they have roots and are in soil.. but still the fact that we have hard water bothers me and I'm still figuring out what to do about the problem = /

These three have truly taken root and seem to be thriving where they are in their small pots. But at the rate they are growing I can't see them staying in those pots for very much longer.

So these oleander (all three) have proved to be very vigorous growers and get new growth daily. Since they are growing up so quickly I decided to look into what I could do with them other then just let them grow into a huge messy shrub. So in my quest to save a bit of space and to make things look a bit neater I've decided to make all my oleander standard form. What is standard form? Well its a way of pruning a plant in order to make it appear to be a tree. Its the straight trunk with a bushy circle top that makes it a standard formed plant. So I did some research and got started and now they are looking great and still growing strong :D
My "white" oleander has decided to go full force and start to bloom. it has currently bloomed so many times that I have lost track :) Gorgeous blooms that I have in the pictures below. The other two are hot pink and light pink so we'll have to see that later when they decide to bloom :) Tis' wonderful to know that I grew these from cuttings propagated in water of all things and to know that they are doing so incredibly well. I <3 Them :)
